If you're a teacher or school staff, you can qualify to activate this. You should have these two things before you buy this. Based on James' instructions, Navigate as follows after purchase: 1. Copy Redemption Code to notepad if you prefer 3. Click "How to redeem this item" 4. Paste in redemption code 6. Fill in from info and submit. Do not use your school district email address because if you decide in the future to quit your job, you will lose access to your Adobe account along with your permanent copy of Acrobat Pro.
I think in the future, there will be no more software like this because charging a subscription to use their applications makes them more money.
I recommend you use a personal email address instead of your school district email. Also, the student questionnaire is still included in the teacher's portion. It will ask you what degree you are pursing, what year do you expect to graduate, and etc. I left some answer boxes blank because I am no longer a student and have graduated a long time ago. Don't worry, you will be asked what school you work at.

If you use the other applications from Adobe like Photoshop, Premiere, Animate, and etc. I read some of the reviews that cautioned the importance of validating eligibility for the student pricing by using a university e-mail account. I did that and had no trouble receiving the activation code.
Where I made a mistake, though, was in using that same e-mail to register the product. This is incredibly frustrating and a little frightening.
When I graduate I will no longer be able to validate through my university e-mail, yet this is supposed to be a permanent license I did finally reach someone "live" and they said to keep my serial number and sign in personally and it should work, but there is nothing that can be done to re-register the program once it has been registered through the University account.
So when I log on through my personal account, it says I don't own anything. They won't let me uninstall and re-install under the correct personal account. They say I should still be able to log in with the serial number and my personal information once I graduate, but they won't re-register the account under my name, so it's disconcerting to say the least. It would be great if I just hadn't made that mistake OR if they had helped me when I called! The software functionality itself is great, but I don't like that you have to be logged in to use it.
I would think a desktop version wouldn't require you to be signed in as if it were a subscription. I'm going to keep hunting for better answers, but I wanted to warn people about my mistake in the hope it helps! Just purchased this for my kids and everything went very smoothly. If you follow a simple process you should have no issues getting your software up and running.
